Eratta: Disease "Infection"

I didn't see this mentioned in the eratta on this site. The infection column is missing from the disease table.

Flying Polyp - Wind Blast
|
The Wind Blast (Su) ability listed on page 167 for the Flying Polyp doesn't indicate any kind of saving throw. Considering that it covers a 30 yard diameter cylinder with a base range of 60 feet, and that it does 10d10 points of damage, it seems a Reflex saving throw is in order. Is this an error, or is the Flying Polyp simply supposed to be that dangerous?

Re: Errata & Notes: Call of Cthulhu d20 RPG
|
This week, I *finally* had enough free time to update my "Errata & Notes" pages: www.geocities.com/thastygliax/d20errata/
Most of the revisions were to the Freeport pages (D&D), but the d20 Cthulhu pages did acquire a few new items. And BTW, the non-Cthulhu pages have been expanded to include Book of Vile Darkness and d20 Modern, because while I enjoyed them immensely, they both got several pings on the "errata radar". -------------------------------

Perhaps not an error but it may cause problems for those shotgun users out there.
Alot of you may have compensated for this but just in case you didn't: All magazine, drum and (most) side-loading weapons can hold one extra bullet/shell when cocked. This is especially important for pump action shotguns since its relatively easy to load in the extra shell (just pump once and load another one in). So perhaps you might want to make that standard when reloading such weapons. Also, (this may apply to others) the Ithaca 37 shotgun can hold 5 OR 8 shells. (assuming that one shell is already in the breach) |

errata update | ||
|
www.geocities.com/thastygliax/d20errata/
Several updates to the d20 Cthulhu page (incl. notes on blindsight, Worm That Walks spells, and D&D domains). And for DnDChick and the C.C. gang, I've added a page for the Tome of Horrors, by Necromancer Games. (You saw her bonesucker here first, folks.) Tim Emrick -------------------------------

They got WotC's site, they're not getting mine! ;-)
|
In case you hadn't heard, WotC has removed all d20 Cthulhu content from their site, because the license from Chaosium expired in December. Unfortunately, that means that my errata page now has several dead links. I am looking into whether there are any alternative sites for that material, but the license issue means that I probably won't find any legal ones. That means that you're probably stuck having to find people who downloaded those pages and are willing to email copies to you. (I didn't, and wouldn't have the free time to distribute them if I did.)
I'll be adding a note to this effect to the archive copy of the errata on my site eventually... Tim -------------------------------

My d20 Cthulhu errata pages have been updated to reflect the changes on WOTC's site.

Hrmpf.
Even before the recent hacker disaster, I wasn't checking this forum very often. Mainly, I just haven't had much opportunity to do much with the game, plus traffic here has been pretty darn low for the last several months (year-ish?). Also, I have a new baby (our 2nd) due later this month, so I'm going to have to cut back on my online time in a big way. What all that means is that I won't be around here much from now on (and won't be doing much more with my Cthulhu errata page). That may change if I get into an actual d20 CoC campaign, but I'm not promising anything. (Right now, I'm more interested in BRP CoC, because I've been getting a bit burnt out on the d20 System in general.) Feel free to contact me off-list (you can find my email on my website; see URL in sig), but it may take me a while to respond (esp. July-August). Here's hoping the next few weeks/months aren't TOO painful for the rest of you, as the Powers That Be try to clean house around here. -------------------------------

Hi folks I'm new here but there were a few glithces with this book for me......
This is not a criticism but a compliment, the artwork was fantastic and quite frankly improved the lack of effort in the usual Chaosium CoC productline. The stats for the Gods are not correct IMHO. The Great Old Ones are not elementals in any sense of the word and neither does the HPL mythology have a Good vs Evil dichotomy. 90% of the GOO are Greater Gods, and would possess a majority of spells and Divine Feats; a Divine Ranking of at least 19+. Elder Gods are more or less the equivalent of the Great Old Ones, certainly no more powerful so all of Earth Pantheons may fall into this. The Outer Gods, or gods of the Outer Hells are Overgods, Divine Rank 21+ and possess all spells, feats and Divine Feats. Beyond the ability of any mortal or God to deal with. Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth are the personification of Isvara and Brahman and as a result are totally unkillable in any way but may be banished for a time. Although as a whole I did like the book and use it with D20 Modern and Gurps frequently, it was just that one section.
