I'm curious as to whether many who shifted to D&D 4.0 are planning to shift to D&DNext whenever it comes out (I'm not keeping up w/ press releases), I'm assuming sometime this coming summer or fall.
I play in a 4.0 campaign set in a homebrewed world which the DM turned upside down (Dark God shows up at the end of our 3.5 campaign, shuts out the Old Gods and the whole place goes to hell and we pick up 200 years later). We've played out adventurers who now are likely to break the Dark God's grasp on the world, thus allowing us to begin anew in the same world under a new rule system. Not everyone is happy about moving to D&DNext (I am just shy of ecstatic...preferring 3.5/Pathfinder for my own table), but I am wondering how everyone else is feeling about it.
Are you planning to give the new edition a shot or stay with 4.0?
