V&V was the first superhero game I played, as well.  I still have it on my book shelf.  I remember having discussions about our personal stats.  After we moved on to Marvel, I adapted most of the V&V villains and all the modules I had to MSHRP.  Good times.  It remains in many ways the perfect example of an "unbalanced" game, but that mirrors the comic book universe.  If you rolled wrong, you could be playing Matter-Eater Lad while your friend was playing Superman.  Good times.
