My party are just in the Outer Valuts and have almost dispatched GT2. A long story but Navanna is currently "resting" having been resurrected after a
run in with the Pactlords (a meeting the PCs intervened).
This will leave them in the Outer Valuts, which has not as yet been breached. The plug is still down.
The question being - will Geristronomos tell them the mechanism for opening the plug ? If he does and they get past it ... how will they open the next sealed door (to the Inner Valuts) or can';t they do this as they don't have the BW key.
Ideally I want to keep the PCs at the plug, but I know how crafty they are and they will find a way to bypass it ... somehow
I fully expect them to try and
manipulate Geristronomos into helping them. They have already repaired his leg and eye, and will at some point ask for his help to progress further into the
BW.
Would he help them move further forward or would he endeavour to stop them (no doubt they will play the "well we can only help you reseal the Warrens if we get the Sealing Rod and you have told us that is in the Baneheart. Can you help us get in ....."
they are very crafty indeed and will no doubt try this line of attack.
My current plan is for Geristronomos not to help them open the sealed doors as he can't - each sealed door must be opened by the key .... thus they cannot progress until the key holder (Navanna) open the sealed doors, one by one. Do you agree with this (and I reading the adventure correctly) ?
Any other tips on how to play Geristronomos ... for some odd reason in my game he is very much like Marvin from Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy ...... which my PCs find quite funny.
