So, aside from what's available in the XPH, does anyone know of 3.5 core classes for psionics? Not PrCs thanks. (I do have Hyperconscious and it's
good.) Any to avoid? Thanks!

There was a Dragon magazaine issue that featured the Erudite: basically, a Psion (w/o discipline specialization) which had no set limit to the number of
psionic powers known but could only use a few of them every day.
ETA: Apparently, the Complete Psionic sourcebook of 2006 also included the Erudite class. Here's a preview: http://www.wizards.com/de.../iw/20060406b&page=1 Also, the "Mind's Eye" series of articles at the Wizards website included long ago a blend of Rogue and Psion, the Psychic Rogue. Here. And that's about it, as far as I know. Hope this helps.

There's also the Lurk, the Ardent, and the Divine Mind, from the same source (Complete Psionic).

Psy Rogue is a personal favorite. It does, IMO, the best job of *all* the hybrid caster/other classes, of defining a powers list that complements the class
abilities and purpose. Beyond the fact that it allows a pure single-class character, the powers list and class abilities just blow away what you get from
Arcane Trickster, for the purpose of being a rogue with some surprises up his sleeve.
