Is anyone running a MCWoD game?
I can't find much out there in terms of home-brewed stuff or people talking about their campaigns.
I've been working on my own campaign, but I'm no where near being ready for it.

Im running one at the moment, and I have the same issue as you. No real home brew stuff or other content. Im being "forced" to pull out my d20
library for stuff to throw off my players and keep things interesting. Not thats thats a real problem, I almost have a bookcase devoted to d20 products from
dnd to d20 modern, and starwars d20 and saga to anime d20.

Nope, you're not alone roivaskrad. |

So far My Players are mainly werewolves... I also got 1 mage and 1 demon. and as for the wealth system ...Ew... It was the thing I hated most about d20 modern
and future. To be honest I am winging it. The issue is not having the money it is obtaining it. I let them have some simple stuff out of my slightly modified
d20 weapons locker, only takeing stuff they can walk down the street and purchase here were I live. anything else either gets pulled off the dead or I make it
something to be played. One of my players wanted to track down an old M1 and I made it somewhat of a challenge in itself to obtain, but he got it. Honestly I
think I prefur it this way, so money and wealth are not big goals, and we can focus more on the story or what the players want to focus on. It also gives you a
bit better control as a Dm this way, if they want that fully automatic M4 you can just make it the biggest pain in his ass, or give it to him... I honestly
think my players would be upset if I did not make obtaining something like that a royal pain in the ass....

Thanks for the advice roivaskrad. I think I'll go with how you handle it and wing the whole wealth thing.
I didn't want any of my PCs to play the big rich guy, but I know one of my players tends to be on the mercenary side and I was trying to think of a way to handle that. |

I am in the same boat as everyone else here. We just started MCWoD, (after trying 4e and now going back to 3.5), but we had to use a lot of house rules and
older D20 material. We are not using the back story from the book, at best it's kind of a hybrid of the old WoD and a couple of t.v. shows, lol, but it
works. But here is a few issues I ran into.
Money, well I found out real fast why it's not in there, Mages. That was the first thing the (Cheese) Mage player wanted to do. So I think maybe it is why it is just left up to the DM & players to make it fit in the story line and character background. NPC, just trying to make a MCWoD NPC is tough enough, (no generators out there, and it is not easy to input either), but nobody will even post their old NPC to draw from. Sure, there are plenty of D20 Monsters and NPC to draw from, but they take away a bit from the flavor of the game. It would be nice if there was somewhere we could all post NPC and house rules. Well that's my little rant, lol. BTW - we love the game; just wish it had more support. |

Hey Frodie. I've been looking for somewhere with house rules and NPCs, but no luck. And I never thought about mages being able to create
money.
When I hammer out more of the background for my story, maybe I'll post some of it. I've decided to drop the whole Intrusion manifesting in the world in a physical way, but instead I've went with it being a spiritual manifestation. And that spirit attack awoke some of the things in this world. There have been Intrusions in the past, most during some key points in history. And because of that, there have supernaturals that have been around from those previous attempts. No changes to the Awakened, but as the game progresses, they'll have the chance to develop Hunter Creeds (borrowed from Cyberdave). Demons, not being true fallen angels are called Daemons. No other changes. There has always been magic in the world, but very few people were born who could channel it. The lack of free flowing magic in the world was because something that happened in the distant past when the spirit world was severed from the physical world. As for vampire, many from previous Intrusions were hunted and destroyed. Some did survive though, they were either beaten into torpor (and believed to be destroyed), or hid really well. And the new Intrusion woke the torpid. Werewolves were hunted into extinction more than half a century ago. The new Intrusion caused the werewolf blood in their descendants (aka, Kinfolk) to come back to life and some of them have began to transform into werewolves. Sorry if this seems kind of rushed, but I don't have too much time and I wanted to put up some of my basic ideas. I'll post more later. |

Hmm, I wonder if there is a market for adventures for this.

I would, if their is more stuff in it than just the adventure, I tend not to run adventures but I buy them if I think there is something I can canibalize
from it.

Since I'm trying to go with something closer to the 'traditional' WoD werewolf, I'm trying to come up with a way that werewolves might be able to regain some Essence other than something based on moon phases or eating human hearts. I want it to be something that they can do without having to really learn a Rite, but I might have to go that route. I've been flipping through the W:tF book for some ideas. Has anyone else come up with some ideas on how to handle Essence? |

Is it ok for us to start a group, like yahoo, where we can upload files like, npc, house rules, adventures, ect.?

Cool, I'll add stuff when I get it. At the moment I working a dataset for ETools, (I know, can't post the dataset), but after that I was going to do
some work on the oWoD Hunter powers for the Awakened class.

Frodie wrote:A while back, Cyberdave wrote up a few of the Hunter Creeds as feats. I can post them here if you'd like. Another that that I was thinking about doing for the Awakened was look into some of the special abilities that Faith (from both versions of the WoD) granted and maybe go from there. |

Looks like everyone stopped 'talking' about MCWoD.
Hmmm.... I'll post my revisions to the Werewolf Character Type. Hope I'll get some comments (suggestions and flamings welcome too ) that might get others to post.

A more accessible and probably easier to manage forum for this sort of collaboration would probably be a wiki (either through Wikia, Wikispaces or one of the
other free sites) as it would allow more freedom with access and contribution. Also with Yahoo moving more of their services to their "connections"
site I suspect groups will be folded in sometime soon.

I agree neberu. The Yahoo Groups page is a good start, but a well managed site dedicated to MCWoD with messageboards and a way for users to
share files would be ideal.
