Reading gaming forums, listening to Everlast and heading to work in twenty minutes. Second shift sucks. I can't wait until my company returns to a three
shift day and I can get back to third shift. Ten hour shifts also suck.

So, just joined Facebook and was looking for people that I knew. Couldn't find my first girlfriend on it, so I googled for her. First result? A news story
from 2006 about her and her mom getting shot and killed by her stepdad.
The location matched what I remembered her telling me before she moved, and after further investigation I found a picture. Yup, it's her. Behind my parents and wife, this girl was the single most important person in the development of my life. She took me from being a shy, introverted, unpopular nerd to, well, still a nerd, but a confident, friendly, extroverted one that got along easily with people. I had always hoped I could connect with her again later. That day will never come now. ;_;

Even crazier: It's suspected that her step-dad (who shot himself after killing them, so he's dead now too) was a serial killer behind the death of his
first wife, the disappearance of a former girlfriend, and the deaths of six nurses.
All my friends who knew her family better than I are basically going "WTF?". It's the standard "but he was always such a nice guy" thing. You really never suspect that sort of stuff. On a happier note, wasn't there a D&D app on facebook that several people were doing? What was the name of that thing? Edit: I guess there's a plus here. I now have a firm answer to "If you could time-travel just once, when would you go and what would you do?". I'd make sure the dude suffered death-by-cop.

I can't imagine what that would be like, CJM. It makes me want to touch base with old friends (or mates) a lot more than I do...
My condolences, for the little they're worth. |

Yeah, seriously, go do that. Anyone you haven't seen in a couple years, but occasionally think of? Track them down RIGHT NOW and talk to them. You never
know when it'll be too late.
So, seriously, D&D Facebook app? Anyone gonna hook me up?

Tiny Adventures, IIRC. I never played it. Currently hooked on Pirates, Castle Age, and a couple more. But I go by my real(ish) name.

Yeah it's D&D Tiny Adventures. I played through a couple of characters before I got bored with it - nowadays I'm sucked into the Mafia Wars fad...

So ... I just drove 2200 miles to Erie, PA for pharmacy school.
I also bought RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Oblivion (because I like to keep on the cutting edge of PC gaming).

Just got home from playing me and my friend mike's one on one Iron Heroes campaign. My first (of 2 I am in simultaneously). 8th level now. Finished Dark
Harbor (man this adventure was great) and Bloodstorm and mike added in this whole tie in with Mind Flayers and the Masters and Church of the Return as a
continuation, using lots of ideas from Lords of Madness. Now hints of an aboleth, too. Totally awsome. My Executioner just took down/executed 2 Veiled
Masters (illithid in 'Edgar Suits'-see Men in Black) in 3 rounds starting with a surprise attack with a jump stunt for +5 to damage on top of the sneak
attack.
Love my executioner. Mind Flayers have never been so cool as adversaries for me as in this campaign. Skill challenges, Stunts, Combat Challenges, Feat Mastery, Skill Groups, Tokens...Yeah, this is awsome!! |
