When thinking of what to do, I came up with an idea for a psionic rogue prestige class, and thought I'd come here for advice on designing one. I doubt
there is an existing one, since what I have in mind is not a simple "psionic trickster", but are thoroughly nasty guys who use psionic powers to make
sure that nobody interferes with the Thieves' Guild's business. Especially not the Judges.
What I am looking for is advice on pitfalls to avoid when designing a psionic prestige class.
If it helps, the iconic character is a rogue or multi-classed rogue. No prior psionic experience is necessary. Requirements are 10 ranks Intimidate, Gather Information, and Bluff; 5 ranks Hide, Move Silent, and Sense Motive; +7 BAB, Sneak Attack +2d6, Skill Focus in at least one skill listed as a prerequisite, and Lawful Evil alignment. Special abilities include the ability to mask their alignment, erase evidence (essentially a limited application of genesis), infernal allies, and planar contact with "Nightmare Mountain". The PrC is specialized to make sure that secrets remain secret. For example, if a pirate captain is paying the local baroness 20% of his takings, she might pay the Bogeymen to make sure that nobody finds out.
