Is DR handled like 3.0 or 3.5? I.e. is there a DR 15/+3 or is it just DR 15/magic?
Also, if it is done like 3.0, are there still DR requirements for the weapon substance? |

One problem with 3.5-style DR is, Monte's not a fan of special materials, and of course, AE doesn't *have* alignment. If you're running a pure AE game, 3.5-style DR is almost useless.

I just came across this:
In 3.5, any degree of cover on behalf of your opponent prevents you from making an AoO against him. AE still uses the old 3.0 rule where having only 1/4 cover won't help you against AoO's. |

Being VERY new to these parts and about to DM my first AE campaign, I definitely appreciate this thread. One difference I'm curious about is how healing works at low levels. Since the 1st level Transfer Wounds basically "hurts" the healer, I'm curious if my spellcasters are going to be dropping unconcious from the subdual damage they take from healing the warriors. Transfer Wounds makes a lot more sense as a spell than cure light but I'm wondereing how it plays. Luckily, I have a player interested in the Greenbond class so it may not be that big a deal.
