I was hoping to get some insight on a question I had regarding the recovery of spells on the Astral Plane.
At the end of our last session (we play 3.0/3.5), the cleric of the group I have been DMing for Plane Shifted the party to the Astral Plane. Unfortunately, the Plane Shift he had prepared to bring them back had to be used for healing. Clerics recover their spells at a set time each day. If time does not flow in the Astral Plane (per Manual of the Planes you don't get hungry, age, etc.) will the cleric recover his spells while there or do they need to start looking for a portal to get back home?
The larger question is also, how do all spell casters recover their spells while on the Astral Plane? And does the timelessness of the plane affect the rule regarding the non-recovery of spells slots you cast in the past 8 hours?
I appreciate any thoughts regarding this matter that you guys may have.
