Delightful! I feel a growing desire to run a game set in the year ONE BILLION BC.
With time-traveling undead dinosaurs who are here to prevent you from preventing them from existing. |

I have sometimes found packages of these at the dollar store. It pays to check the toy rack!
-Thrommel, who hasn't seen the pterodactyl one. |

If anyone ever sees them available in some easier fashion - like online order - they should pipe up

If you read the comments in the article, one of the posters (Legion 4) says he contacted the company and they said they'd do direct orders by phone or fax,
the contact info is in his post.

Oh, nice - I read a few comments but apparently gave up too early, and my google fu totally failed to find another way to buy. Phones, though? Craziness.

Phones aren't that crazy. Everyone has a phone (or two). Now fax....

I have... ahhh... a lot of these. It's a little embarrassing, but I can't stop buying them. I found my first haul in the after-Christmas pillage of
my local Big Lots, they were 4-packs discounted to about $2. I ended up with about 30. Then later my local United Dollar (sort of an off-brand dollar store,
as opposed to the big chain Dollar Tree) had two-packs for $1. Every man has a price I guess, and my price for plastic dinosaurs is about fifty-cents. I
can't say no to a deal like that.
Actually, I had decided that 30 was more than plenty, but then I came up with an idea for a skeletal hydra, I thought I could take a few necks from the brontosauruses and the body of triceratops and kit-bash something serviceable, so I had to go back and clear out their brontos. I was done then, but then I thought about those goofy looking pterodons, not great minis but I could cut the wings off to make skeletal half-dragons and any other winged, skeletal undead I might need. Apparently no one else in my area was aware of the awesome potential of these toys, because ended up clearing the place out at a rate of about $5 a week. I have two shopping bags of unopened packs in my work room, waiting to be turned into skeletal hydras and skeletal half-dragon hydras. (I've also thought about doing a longboat with a skeletal figurehead.) I've pretty much stopped going into my local United Dollar because I know if they've restocked I'll only end up clearing them out all over again. |
