Ok,

My party was progressing through the adventures in the brick, they rescued Phon, did some investigation to who the murderer could be, captured Toridan Cran,
drove off the goblins infesting the haunted house, began working for Zavere at Castle Shard and began the smugglers daughter episode.

Anyway, they handled that whole episode pretty well, handled the girl with extreme caution and ended up bringing her to Lord Zavere who recommended bringing
the girl and watch to the brotherhood...

Not sure where the clock tower is.... havent read that far or taken notice of it I guess.

my players would make the assumption that the demon was somehow associated with time.... (time demon?) since it occupied a watch as well as a clock.

Not a bad idea.

I was thinking that the shard would work pretty well.... Zavere could request the party come back to his place, show them the shard and comment on how it went

What if the demon takes refuge in the Clock Tower ?!

Even temporarily as it builds strength ... what a great spot to inhabit and quietly watch a steady stream

guess I just envision a hiring of a hit to be done in a different fashion.
