Sometimes (often, actually), not enough of my players bother to show up to my 4E D&D game.* I've started running a Star Wars D6 game set in the Rebellion Era as filler. The game started as a one-shot adventure called "Empire or Rebellion?"

I've never actually written a campaign journal before, but I am keenly aware that as a GM I often write plots, backgrounds, and situations that are very detailed and nuanced, but are also incredibly obscure. This leads to my players often not knowing what the hell is going on. I've been using the same homebrew world (Perion) for over 10 years real time gaming once a week, around 100 years game time (more if you include time travel). The PCs play their own sons and daughters for the most part, though not for the first few cycles.
